Froze Fruit Challenge.

My kids love frozen fruit; especially the blueberries, which happen to be the messiest of them all might I add. Frozen fruit is great for you because it is usually picked in its prime season and frozen at its best. Buy it up, but stick with just fruit. Stay away from things that have a glaze or flavoring to them. So we make smoothies a lot! Here is a simple smoothie recipe to make sure you get all the fruit intake you should have in a day!

Wildberry Smoothie


1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup frozen strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries

1/2 frozen medium banana

1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

1 cup baby spinach

1 teaspoon chia seeds for topping, if desired


Place all ingredients except chia seeds into blender and blend until smooth. Add more almond milk if smoothie is too thick. Pour into a chilled glass, sprinkle with chia seeds and extra blueberries; enjoy!


Feel free to add 1/2 cup greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder if you'd like more protein in this recipe.
